A happy new year for 2024! 2023 is behind us and it was a very bad year for spirits investors. The average return of all Spirits Invest indexes in 2023 was -16.8%. Only two Spirits Invest indexes (Dictador Rum & Kawasaki Whisky) managed to finish higher in 2023. Moreover, 32 of the 53 Spirits Invest indexes even ended at their lowest level of the year on the last day in 2023!
The average return for December 2023 was -1.8% for the 53 Spirits Invest Indexes. For comparison, in November 2023 the average return was -2.8%.
